From our schools

What are the schools saying about their participation in the Oscar Romero Award?

Being part of the Oscar Romero Award has allowed us to focus more clearly on 'why' we do acts of service, thus focusing our whole school onto the mission statement 'To Live In Love' and how we live this out through following CST.  (St Therese of Lisieux Primary School – Stockton Tess)

Applying for the Participator Level of the Oscar Romero Award has been both a pleasure and a valuable opportunity for us to reflect upon the Catholic life and mission at St Peter’s. (St Peter’s RC High School – Gloucester)

Taking part in the Oscar Romero Award has had a considerable impact on the life of the school. As leaders, our decision-making process now incorporates a CST view, pupils can talk the language of CST, and it is the basis for many of their actions. (More Park Catholic Primary School – West Malling)

The Oscar Romero Award has helped us to actively seek out and review our established practices and policies, identifying new and more innovative ways to bring Catholic Social Teachings into our community. (Oaklands Catholic School and Sixth Form College – Waterlooville)
