Process of becoming a Validator

  1. Recruitment – on reception of your completed application form, if you are considered a suitable candidate, you will be called for interview.
  2. Interview – this will focus on your suitability for the role and also offer you opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the Trust and your role as Validator.
    1. If agreed that you are suitable for the role, we will write to your referees
    2. On reception of affirmative references, you will be invited to apply for DBS check.
  3. Training - On reception of positive DBS check results, you will be invited for training. This will be over a day in a venue that will be communicated to you. Your training will focus on:
    1. Understanding the Oscar Romero Award
    2. Safeguarding
    3. What is Catholic Social Teaching?
    4. Validating an online application
    5. A school validation visit
    6. Shadowing a validator
  4. Deployment – you will be allocated an area to work. You will also have a team and a team leader to support you.
