Award Levels

The Oscar Romero Award will recognise the school’s commitment to Catholic Social Teaching. The Award is available at three levels; Participator, Developer and Innovator.

Assessment and Validation Process

Participator Level will be assessed and validated online. If evidence and summary statements meet the Participator Level threshold, then the school will be awarded this level.

Developer Level will be assessed in two stages:

Stage 1: Online - A validator will assess the evidence and summary statements presented online to see if they meet the Developer Level threshold.

Stage 2: Visit - If the online assessment is successful, then the assessing validator will contact the school to arrange a visit to the school to meet members of the community to talk about the evidence that was presented. If this is a successful visit, then the school will be awarded the Developer Level.

Innovator Level - same process as at Developer Level.
